Street Fighter X Tekken to get all the adulation for Capco, Namco
World’s leading fight franchises Capcom and Namco are in for the ultimate bragging rights with the announcement of Street Fighter X Tekken. According to the announcement of the Capcom producer Yoshinori Ono, this time the gamers will be offered something different. There will be two separate all-action titles.
The first will concentrate on the classic fighting style of the Street Fighter series - Street Fighter X Tekken. The second will utilize Tekken’s approach – Tekken X Street Fighter. However, other than a brief trailer released, nothing much has been said by either the Capcom or Namcom about the game information at this moment.
The Street Fighter X Tekken will be available on both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 but the release date is not yet known. At the Capcom’s Comic-Con address, the answer to the release date question was a “not for a while.” Earlier, before the announcement of Street Fighter X Tekken, Sony Online Entertainment has announced that it will unleash MMORPG epic DC Universe Online on November 2. The game will be available on PlayStation 3 and Games for Windows.
Capcom Co. Ltd., which is a Japanese developer and publisher of video games established in 1983, is known for creating multi-million-selling franchises such as Resident Evil, Street Fighter, and Mega Man. Namco Ltd is another Japanese video game developer and publisher. Its most famous title, Pac-Man, went on to become the best-selling arcade game in history and an international popular culture icon. Namco's first original video game was Gee Bee.
